Working With Me — Australian Employers
Relocating to Queensland. Ready to Work.
What I Do
I’m a US-based HR and compliance professional with 8+ years of experience at Amazon and Salesforce, actively relocating to Queensland, Australia. This page is for Australian employers and recruiters who want to understand what working with me looks like in practice, what visa pathway applies, and what I’m looking for in an Australian role.
My Relocation Plan
I’m targeting Queensland — specifically the Greater Brisbane area, Sunshine Coast, or Gold Coast — with a planned relocation timeline of 12–18 months. This is a concrete life decision backed by personal ties to the region and a clear professional strategy. I am not exploring options. I am building toward this move with intention.
Visa Pathway — Subclass 482 Skills in Demand
I am eligible for employer sponsorship under the Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage (Skills in Demand) visa under the Core Skills stream. The occupations I am targeting — Compliance Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations Manager, and Legal Operations Specialist — are on the Core Skills Occupation List.
Here is what sponsorship looks like in practice:
Your organisation would need to be an approved sponsor or willing to become one. The nomination and visa process typically takes 2–4 months. I am fully familiar with the framework and prepared to work through it cooperatively with your HR and immigration team. I am not asking you to navigate this alone — I understand the process and will make it as straightforward as possible on your end.
What I’m Looking For in an Australian Role
I’m targeting organisations with a genuine need for compliance, GRC, HR, or legal operations expertise and the structure to support visa sponsorship. That typically means mid-to-large corporates, global firms with Australian offices, law firms, healthcare organisations, and tech companies operating in regulated sectors.
I am not looking for a foot in the door. I bring 8+ years of verified experience in HR, compliance, and investigations — including M&A integration across three acquisitions, complex ER investigations, FMLA/ADA administration, and high-volume case management at Fortune 500 scale. I am ready to contribute at a senior level from day one and grow within your organisation over time.
The 482 visa supports a 2–4 year initial period with a clear pathway to permanent residency. I am committed to building a long-term presence in Australia.
Salary Expectations — Australian Market
For compliance, GRC, and HR leadership roles in Queensland, I am targeting AUD $95,000–$115,000 for compliance-adjacent and HR leadership roles, and AUD $110,000–$130,000 for GRC or legal operations positions, depending on scope and seniority. I am open to discussing total compensation including superannuation, performance bonuses, and other benefits as part of the full package.
Internal Transfer Pathway
My preferred route to Australia is an internal transfer — joining a US-based organisation with established Australian operations and transitioning to the Australian team after demonstrating my value domestically. If your organisation has both US and Australian offices and is open to that conversation, I would love to connect early.
Let’s Talk
If you’re an Australian employer or recruiter and this page resonates, the best next step is a conversation. I’m happy to discuss my timeline, the visa process, salary expectations, and how my background maps to your specific needs.
